The Blush of Miss Manila

The astonishing colors of Miss Manila have no comparison. Even though they have the characteristic white tiny flowers, their bracts go from a bright deep orange then fade to varying tones of mauve and pink. This climber blossoms all around the year, and their smooth-textured foliage is evergreen. This tropical plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and birds. Therefore, it’s a great plant to have in your landscape. This tender perennial plant likes full sun exposure and needs to be watered regularly, but do not overwater them.

We recommend you use extreme caution when handling Miss Manila, this lady has sharp spines. This bougainvillea requires a soil pH of 5.6 to 6.0 (acidic) to 6.1 to 6.5 (mildly acidic), and the plant could grow around 6-15 ft. (1.8 – 4.7 m) tall. Miss Manila flowers are good for drying and preserving.
